Scarecrow Festival The Village Scarecrow Festival continues to be a great success and this year was no exception. This year’s event, with the theme of All Creatures Great and Small, took place over the weekend of 24th August and as usual showcased the creativity of the residents who had produced the amazing scarecrows on display. The event raised much needed funds for Manorlands and the Air Ambulance, two very worthwhile and deserving charities. Whilst the weather was not always sunny the weekend still saw a large number of people, both individuals and families, taking part and walking around the village with their entry forms. It is always difficult to select an overall winner from such a great selection of excellent entries but after much deliberation it was decided that this year’s accolade would go to Noah’s Ark. Congratulations to all those who took part in this years festival and a huge thank you to the event organisers.
